Sometimes you're in the mood for fun and food and in a beautiful restaurant venue. That's the time when you should consider Kobe's.
Prairie dogs always in the mood for fun.
Such was our frame of mind when we entered Kobe's in Fargo. Certainly it was pleasant pausing by the koi pond that hugs the entrance while momentarily waiting for a table. Yet the real delight of the evening was being entertained by several Benihana style cooks who were orchestrating events for two separate groups in the sunken dining room. Clearly the patrons were having a great event, enjoying the show while having the cooks shoot sake into their mouths.
We ordered several small plates and sushi rolls for our light dinner. The most specular and interesting choice was the Kaika Kani roll - Alaskan snow crab and mango inside an avocado wrap. The first bite prompted me to exclaim: This is simply amazing! And so was our encounter with Kobe’s.
