A chance meeting with an old friend, and an inspiring story…
When we recently attended the annual fall exhibit / show of the Puget Sound Mycological Society, we were delighted to cross paths with many old friends, most of whom we had not seen since moving here to the southern Oregon coast ten years ago. One long-time friend has been a busy lady since we last saw her, and we would like to share her inspiring story with our readers.
Sara and two of her best friends!
Sara Clark is a very bright and energetic retired lady from Seattle who lives up to the adage about thinking globally. She has purchased 700+ acres of logged land situated in the high country of Costa Rica, on the continental divide between two national parks, and is busily reforesting and rehabilitating this corner of the world so that it may one day recapture what it once was.
This takes a vision and a sense of wanting to help with a project she cares deeply about. It’s an inspiring story that she can tell better than we ever could. Visit her website at www.fincadoslados.com.
