Welcome to our web shop! You knew it had to happen, right? Someone would offer mushroom- themed products for sale on the Internet, and that someone turned out to be us. We hope it will be a long and enjoyable trip for all of us… and henceforward, the dilemma of what to buy that special mushroomer in your life has just become a little easier.
We’re excited to be offering unique, quality gift items for mushroomers, and will regularly add new items as time goes on and as we learn more about you, our readers and customers. We’re a small, man-and-wife operation, but what we lack in size, we’ll make up for in good, attentive personal service. We hope to have you for a customer for as long as you’re interested in mushrooms, and we’ll earn your business with unique, high quality products, fairly priced and promptly shipped.
If for whatever reason we cannot ship in time to arrive for a specific date that we’re aware of, we will be happy to send to the recipient a picture of the item on an attractive card, with a note explaining the delay and stating when it will be shipped (also stating that it’s not your fault!).
We sell only products made in the U.S. or Canada, and for now, all our suppliers are located in Oregon or Washington. We think there are plenty of imports without our adding to the list, and we want to deal with people we know and trust. That’s not always possible when your supplier is thousands of miles away. It’s always possible we might find an overseas supplier or product so outstanding that we simply have to offer it, but for now, if you see it here, it’s from here.
Try as we might, we can’t guarantee against situations when we’re out of stock. When that occurs, we’ll contact you for instructions.
If you are dissatisfied in any way with your purchase from us, call us and let us know. Then you can send it back for a prompt, full refund.
Please note that the shipping charges shown below are for delivery within the USA. For international rates, you are welcome to e-mail us at MadAboutMushrooms@gmail.com.
We would really appreciate any feedback you can give us – via card, letter, e-mail, phone call or any other way you can come up with. What new things would you like to see on our website, and in our web shop? We’d love to hear from you!
We're including our own phone numbers for you to contact us directly, too: 541-332-0166, or cell phone 541-425-0213. We ask only that you not call between the hours of 8:00 PM and 7:00 AM, Pacific Time. We need our sleep, too, if we’re going to be of good service to you!

Mushroom Bottle Stoppers
We've made no secret of our admiration of our artist's Wooden Mushroom Containers (see below), and neither have our customers. Now there's a similar product from the same artist that has a very different purpose: a bottle stopper!
Made from a variety of different woods (shown, clockwise from top: Ash, Filbert and Maple; the two stoppers without bottles are both Rhododendron), they are approximately 2-1/4" tall and the caps are just under 1-1/2" in diameter; the "stopper" portion is just under 1" long x 11/16" diameter, with fins up to 7/8" diameter to fit most bottles.
Now, really: wouldn't these give your home bar or kitchen a whole new look?
Mushroom Bottle Stopper - $11.00, Shipping and Handling $4.00.

Morel Mushroom Print Tote Bag
Voluminous.
That's the first word that popped into our minds to describe our new Morel Mushroom Tote Bag. Possibly the fact that we like big words had something to do with this, but apart from its obvious high style (at least to mushroomers and other intelligent, tasteful people), you'll have to admit that at 10-1/2" x 4" x 14-1/2" deep, our new tote is plenty big, and can save you a nickel each time you use it at your participating grocery, rather than using one of their paper or plastic bags.
Made from our durable morel print fabric, it will hold a lot of "stuff," whether it be from your day's errands or a foray afield (what could be more appropriate for bringing home your day's fungal bounty?). One word of caution - don't set it down in good morel habitat; you'll never find it again!
Morel Print Tote Bag, includes Shipping and Handling - $15.00.

Morel Models
When we first saw these model morels, we did a double-take... they're that realistic. But don't try to pop these in the pan with a bit of garlic, butter and white wine; they're strictly for show. Made by a very clever and talented artisan in the Northeastern U.S. from bread dough (of all things!), they must be kept dry. That small limitation excepted, these lovely little decorations can be used in a multitude of ways, including in plant and dinner table displays, and, in magnet form, to adorn any metal surface (your refrigerator?).
The non-magnet morels come with a hole in the bottom so that you can stabilize the morel by sticking one end of a toothpick into the bottom of the morel and the other end into a plant pot or table arrangement.
Unlike their real-life counterparts, these very life-like morels are available in any season, won't deteriorate, and won't attract worms. And they're easy to find - just click below!
Can't buy just one? Call or e-mail for quantity discounts.
(Note: there are several new products in this line that are under consideration, and we'd appreciate your letting us know if you are interested in them. These include earrings, pendants, and Christmas tree ornaments. If you might be interested in any of these, please let us know!)

Morel Mushroom Print Fabric
Our avid morel-fancier friend noticed a gray morel at his feet one spring afternoon, and knelt to pick it. Being a hunter, he looked at his watch: 1:00 PM.
Fifty minutes later, he picked the 23rd morel from the same spot; he had not risen from his knee. The 22 other morels had been there the whole time. And Mark thought to himself: "Anything that's this hard to see in its own natural environment has got to be pretty good camouflage!" Morel hunters know the truth of this only too well. With camouflage in mind, he set out to design the most realistic morel print fabric ever, and we believe he's achieved that goal.
Our morel print fabric is 60" wide and is a 55% polyester, 45% cotton blend. It's a warm, heavy weight fabric suitable for a fall or spring shirt if you're so inclined, window curtains or possibly a set of napkins or an apron. As it was designed primarily as camouflage, this fabric follows the norm for that market by carrying a small, subtle logo stamp with copyright information and the name of the pattern and series. If you look closely, you can see the logo stamp in the upper left hand side of the morel fabric in the photograph we've included above.
We're sure that you'll agree that it's the most realistic morel fabric you've ever seen!
Our apologies - this item is currently on backorder. Please be aware that there will be a short delay in shipping the morel fabric to you.
Morel Mushroom Print Fabric - $12.50/yard, Shipping and Handling $3.00/yard.

Mushroom - Woodland Sachet
Port Orford Cedar naturally occurs only on the southern Oregon coast, and from the mid-1850's on, it was much in demand, not only for its beautiful, white cedar grain and its disease resistance (bugs don't like it, unlike people) but for its unique fragrance. We've packed our sachet with shavings of this rare and uniquely aromatic wood, blended with organic lavender buds and the powder from seven varieties of of dehydrated wild mushrooms (matsutake, oysters, chanterelle, boletus, coral and cauliflower), for hanging in drawers, closets or anywhere there's a desire for a clean, fresh fragrance. Although the talented artist who produces them calls them “fungal spirits”, we prefer “Mini Mushrooms,” so that’s what they’ll be for now. These imaginative little guys may not be much for flavor, but they’re loaded with personality, and each is individually shaped, so no two are alike. Equally at home in a place of honor atop your desk or computer as they are in a planter or terrarium, they range in size from approximately 5/8” to 2-1/4” tall, are made from durable polymer clay, and come in a variety of colors, as shown in the photograph.
Mini Mushrooms - $5.00 each, Shipping and Handling $1.50

These attractive, yet inexpensive earrings will let any and all know of your interest in mushrooms without your ever saying a word! Also made from durable, color-fast polymer clay, they have silver plated hardware, and come in three styles: Amanita, Chanterelle and Morel. Please specify first and second choice.

What more elegant finishing touch could there be to your precious home-canned mushroom jars than these elegant, beautifully crafted cross-stitch covered lids? Anyone who has done cross stitch knows these are really labor-intensive, but every person who sees them will be impressed! They come in assorted mushroom designs, and will fit wide mouth jars only.
Canning Jar Lids - $15.00 each, Shipping and Handling $1.50

Origami Boxes
Durable, fabric-covered origami boxes are unique enough, but beautiful, hand-made boxes covered with a rich, colorful mushroom fabric (exclusive to us!) are a gift item we’re sure you’ve seen nowhere else! The talented Oregon artisan who makes them has strong, nimble fingers, and we have yet to find a flaw; apart from the imagination involved in designing them, her craftsmanship is excellent. These come in 3 sizes, and make a handsome and handy gift for any mushroomer on your list (but no one will blame you if the fortunate recipient is you!)
Origami Boxes, Small (2-5/8” x 1-1/8” high) - $10.00 each, Shipping and Handling $3.00

Wooden Mushroom Containers
We think we know something about wood (living in a log home does that to you!), but the more we looked at these handsome wooden mushrooms, the more we realized that this artist definitely knows how to operate a lathe! That was before he popped the top off of one, and revealed that it was actually a container! Each is uniquely beautiful, and is made either smooth finished (approx. 2-5/8” tall), or incorporating a bit of the bark for a more rustic look (slightly smaller, at 2-1/2” tall). Both have inside bores of approx. 7/8” Diameter, 1-7/8” deep. We don’t know anyone who wouldn’t enjoy having at least one!
Smooth Finish – $13.50 each, Shipping and Handling $4.00
Rustic Style (with bark) – $12.00 each, Shipping and Handling $4.00

Felt Mushrooms
When we first saw these on display by a local artisan, we said, “Aw!” with a big smile. They’re really cute. Then we touched them, and we were astonished at how soft and nice they are to stroke and to hold! You might be tempted to class these plush, colorful ‘shrooms as something for kids, but don’t be too sure. They’re individually hand-made by a skilled local artisan using a laborious technique called “needle felting”, with a single needle, and using primarily locally raised wool (the “natural” color used for the stems sometimes comes from outside the northwest). Pictures don’t do them justice, but the close-up gives some idea of the luxurious surface texture. They come in small, medium and large, or in the ring you see pictured with five small mushrooms on a patch of “grass.” Colors are red, gold, blue, green and brown, in addition to natural. Please note: these are produced expressly for your order, rather than taken from stock. Please allow up to 10 days from order entry to shipment, and please specify first and second color choice. Bear in mind that colors vary somewhat between dye lots. These items ship direct to you from the artisan.
Felted mushroom, small (approx. 3” high x 3” diameter) – $15.00 each, Shipping and Handling $3.00
Felted mushroom, medium (approx.6” high x 8” diameter) - $40.00 each, Shipping and Handling $7.00
Felted mushroom, large (approx. 8” high x 10” diameter) - $60.00 each, Shipping and Handling $9.00

Mushrooms for the Wall
Marilyn Morrill Droege is a nationally-known artist whose portrayal of mushrooms is simply outstanding, so finely detailed that they could be photographs, but too perfectly beautiful to be anything other than what they are: creations of an exceptional artist, with a love and knowledge of mushrooms that is simply unequalled. We’ve known Marilyn for many years as a fellow member of the Puget Sound Mycological Society, for whom she has done several posters for their annual shows. They quickly became collector’s items, as this rendition of the lovely Amanita Muscaria surely will. Among the most beautiful and widely-known mushrooms in nature (just don’t eat them!), they were a natural if challenging choice of subjects for Marilyn. These exceptional prints are individually signed and numbered by the artist, on 11-1/2” x 13” archival watercolor paper, rolled in a protective cardboard container, ready to frame.
Limited Edition Mushroom Print by Marilyn Droege - $55.00 each, Shipping and Handling $5.50
